National Trust (Annie Wyatt Room)

The Annie Wyatt Room is named in honour of the National Trust's founder Annie Wyatt, and features authentic period details - high ceilings, and Georgian styling. The Room offers ample space for workshops, lectures, meetings or theatre-style presentations and can accommodate 60 persons standing, 45 for lecture-style events and 20 for conferencing. It opens onto a wide front hall featuring an entry porch with Georgian fanlight and is backed by a staircase with a beautiful stained-glass window.

If you are looking for an iconic location for your event, look no further! The National Trust NSW is centrally located on Observatory Hill with easy access by all modes of transport.

The Annie Wyatt Room offers screen & Wi-Fi to ensure your event runs smoothly - and yes, we offer temperature control! Tables and chairs are also available and can be flexibly arranged.

In terms of local colour and colonial history, The National Trust Centre has plenty to offer - originally built as a military hospital for officers, the building has a rich history spanning over two centuries, combining heritage charm with modern venue hire offerings, all in the heart of Sydney's CBD.

Onsite catering is available via the Trust Café, located in the adjacent S.H. Ervin Gallery.

About the organisation:
The National Trust of Australia (NSW) is a community-based, non-government organisation, committed to promoting and conserving New South Wales' natural, built and cultural heritage. Established in 1945 by Annie Wyatt, the National Trust began with a mission to conserve Sydney's bushland and historic architecture. Today we are Australia's leading heritage conservation charity. We care for magnificent gardens, galleries and house museums across New South Wales, while also leading the field in bushland management. Our advocacy efforts raise awareness for natural or built heritage under threat. All of this work is made possible with the help of more than 20,000 members, 1,000 volunteers, and the ongoing support of donors and staff. Together, we're delivering on our vision to bring the heritage of New South Wales to life for future generations. The National Trust acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we work, live and share stories of heritage. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We support and are signatories to the Uluru Statement.
