Coogee Surf Life Saving Club is a volunteer organisation, and was founded in May 1907. Originally called The Foundation of the Coogee Surf Life Saving Brigade, the club was formed to assist with people getting into difficulty and even drowning at Coogee Beach. The first squad went into serious training to ensure qualified lifesavers would be available on the beach in the spring of 1907.
To this day, patrolling members commit to serving the community and keeping the public safe.
Our surf club is located at the south end of the beach and offers a real sense of community spirit. It is a great way to meet new people, support the community, keep fit and have fun. Our Ocean Room is available for hire, located on Level 1, directly overlooking the surf with the best views in all of Coogee. Great for any type of function and the only rival to the views will be the sound of the waves crashing beneath you.
Coogee Beach is a beautiful spot and it is sometimes hard to believe we are only 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of central Sydney.
