“Strengthening community connection with more local events, local employment and local economic opportunity and becoming more viable, sustainable and secure for tomorrow.”

Unretreat is a leadership and health retreat designed to unwind old patterns, unlock new habits, and unleash high performance.

Generously facilitated by professionals focused on nourishing your mind, body and soul, I joined them for a weekend in the heart of the Hunter Valley. To think deeply about my values, plans and goals, be inducted into grounding and the benefits of cold therapy and make new friends – such a luxury.

We all know that setting goals are essential in business, sport and collaborations; we perhaps do not grasp how important they are to us as individuals. We set them for our personal best, teams, projects, products, companies and global initiatives – perhaps not so often for ourselves.

We understand setting goals helps trigger new behaviours, guides our focus, builds and sustains momentum, and supports our objectives.

As Professor Leslie Riopel, in The Importance, Benefits and Value of Goal Setting, Positive Psychology, 16 April 2021, says, “goals help align your focus and promote a sense of self-mastery. In the end, you can’t manage what you don’t measure, and you can’t improve upon something that you don’t properly manage. Setting goals can help you do all of that and more.”…“Goal setting can lead to greater success and performance. Setting goals motivates us and can also improve our mental health and our level of personal and professional success”.

Unretreat offers a simple positive, and powerful acronym for setting and measuring goals – BOOM – bloody obvious, observable and measurable.

“Goal setting is a superpower – one I need to harness to deliver on my promises to Hosts, Guests, stakeholders, investors and people and aggregate a fragmented market to create an entirely new category – community space!”

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. Goal 11 is focused on making cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

With more than half of the world’s population now living in urban areas — increasingly in highly dense cities with inadequate and overburdened infrastructure and services, population growth, changing demographics and housing limitations (shrinking homes and skyrocketing numbers of super expensive dwellings on small allotments), community facilities play an increasingly important role for us all.

At Vennu®, our goal is to transform the use of community space by massively enhancing access to these venues, making them accessible for anyone independent of their size, ownership, and location.

Vennu delivers for those, who own, or manage a community space, a super-efficient way to optimise utilisation and increase revenue.  Strengthening community connection with more local events, local employment and local economic opportunity and becoming more viable, sustainable and secure for tomorrow. So exciting!
